Memphis Flyers were formed in Summer 2006, when our Shakey (our Lucky Strike singer) was finding it difficult to make all the gigs due to his work commitments.
The Memphis Flyers music has now become more rockabilly with a mixture of country, hillbilly, bluegrass and skiffle all thrown in. This combination makes for a good fun evening wherever we play.
Numbers such as Jack of Diamonds (Lonnie Donegan), Gone Gone Gone (Carl Perkins), Say Mama (Gene Vincent), Bucket got a Hole (Sonny Burgess) are always popular. And, Roll in my Sweet Babys Arms, a good 'ole bluegrass classic and a psychobilly version of Move It (Cliff Richard) get every body moving.
